Built on two levels originally, the Dancing Doll display, you can see today, located on the ground level in front of the Castle Gallery, still entertains customers with some moving dolls in national costumes. The Castle expanded so much, the original owner’s residence, which was a plain house, like its neighbours today, was encased by Castle walls and turned into display areas and the Castle Entrance (current entrance was originally the household rumpus room) – with the establishment of a dedicated doll museum. In the 80’s a local Sunshine Coast artist was commissioned to build a new display of Fairy tales in the upstairs tract of the residence.
